February is Black History Month -- or African History Month. On this episode of Agnes + Sandra's Three-Way, we're joined by artist Darren Jordan, the visionary behind two of Edmonton's most important Black History Month events: 5 Artists 1 Love and One Night In Harlem.

5 Artists 1 Love, as the title suggests, showcases five visual artists at the Art Gallery of Alberta. It runs until Feb. 25 and there’s a free reception on Saturday, Feb. 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

One Night In Harlem, on Feb. 10 at MacEwan University’s Allard Hall, features music from three of New York’s historic venues, including The Apollo Theatre. Performers include musical director Jeff Hendricks, Daniel Etoroma, Karimah and The Melisizwe Brothers, who recently won TV’s Showtime at the Apollo: Christmas Special.

Tickets are available via Tix on the Square
